PRODUCT CARE

Looking after your KAHUNA clothing

Correct care helps your clothing retain its appearance, fit and useful life.

Always follow the care label attached to the individual garment and any product-specific instructions. These take priority over the general guidance below.

Before washing

Check the care label for the permitted washing temperature and method.

Empty pockets and close zips and fastenings where appropriate.

Separate colours and wash similar colours together. Check whether the garment needs to be washed separately.

Washing

Use a detergent suitable for the fabric and finish, following the recommended amount.

Avoid unnecessary high temperatures. Do not use bleach, fabric conditioner or specialist treatments unless suitable for the garment and permitted by its care instructions.

For technical garments, check whether a particular detergent or washing process is required.

Drying

Follow the garment label for drying instructions.

Only tumble dry where the care label permits it, using the specified setting.

Avoid placing garments directly on radiators or other sources of excessive heat. Ensure clothing is fully dry before storing it.

Ironing and branding

Only iron where the care label permits it, using the specified temperature.

Do not iron directly over printed motifs, transfers or heat-applied KAHUNA branding.

Do not use steam or other heat treatments unless suitable for the garment.

Technical and specialist clothing

Water-resistant, insulated, stretch and other specialist fabrics may require particular washing products, temperatures or drying methods.

Follow the instructions supplied with the individual product. Do not apply waterproofing products or other treatments without checking that they are suitable.

Storage

Store clean, fully dry clothing in a dry, ventilated place.

Keep garments away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight. Avoid leaving damp clothing packed in a bag.

Stains and damage

Check the care instructions before applying a stain remover. Avoid harsh rubbing or treatments that could damage the fabric, finish or branding.

If you suspect a manufacturing defect, contact us before attempting a repair or alteration so we can advise on the next steps.
